Q-Cell Sierra Leone, the cheapest and the most affordable mobile company in Sierra Leone has embarked on giving out Ramadan items worth millions of Leones to the Muslim communities across Sierra Leone.
Presenting the first set of gifts worth millions of Leones to the Kailahun Central Mosque, Aisha Mansaray, Q-Cell’s Marketing Officer, said it is part of Q-Cell’s culture to support masjids especially during the holy month of Ramadan and that the company will always give support to Sierra Leoneans and to its subscribers.
Members of the Muslim community in that part of the country were happy for the support from Q-cell which urged them to offer prayers for Q-Cell which was done by Chief Imam and the members of the masjid. Among the items distributed by Q-Cell included bags of rice, bags of onions, cartons of tin tomato, cartons of maggi, face masks, umbrellas and many other items.
As Q-Cell Sierra Leone continues its nationwide Ramadan gifts tour, the company has so far donated food and non-food items to seven mosques in the eastern parts of Freetown. Masjids at Magazine Cut, Shell New Road, Rokupa (Ghadaffi Mosque), Allen Town (Orugu Pipeline), and Jui (New site) including Hill Station Mentral Mosque were also recipients of Q-Cell Sierra Leone’s Ramadan gifts.
Five more mosques have in the last few days also benefitted from the Q-Cell Sierra Leone Ramadan gift spree. The five mosques located in the western parts of Freetown are Masjids at Congo Cross, Smart Farm, Military Headquarter at Cockerill, Cockle Bay, Wilberforce Village and Lumley were all beneficiaries and special prayers for the success of Q-Cell Sierra Leone were offered by the Imams at the respective masjids.
