Expressing deep concern over the widespread use of Kush—a highly addictive substance—the APC unequivocally condemns all aspects of its trade, including sale, use, manufacture, supply, and distribution. The party pledges full support for law enforcement agencies, the justice system, and parliamentary efforts aimed at eradicating this destructive drug from society.
Highlighting the urgency of the situation, the APC emphasizes the need for a united front in combating Kush trafficking networks. It stresses that political affiliations should not hinder collective efforts to tackle this crisis, urging a nonpartisan approach driven by a common goal to safeguard the future of Sierra Leonean youth.
While acknowledging the government’s initiative to address the issue, the APC opposes the declaration of a state of emergency, advocating instead for a State of Public Health Emergency designation.
