In an exemplary display of generosity and community support, Dr Suphian Kalokoh, Chairman of the All People’s Congress (APC) in the United States of America, has extended a helping hand to the people of Koya Chiefdom in the Port Loko District.
Musa Idris Kanu, also known as SAJ, the Deputy Chairman for the APC Port Loko District Council, and a former councillor for Ward 258 constituency 072 Koya Chiefdom (2018/2023), took the lead in distributing a substantial sum of one hundred million Old Leones on behalf of Dr. Suphian Kalokoh. The recipients included APC executives, stakeholders, bike riders, driver’s unions, Ataya bases, market women, and various other community groups.
The distribution encompassed both constituencies 072 and 73, with the funds reaching the different wards in Koya Chiefdom, specifically wards 254, 255, 256, 257, and 258. Notably, all the Mosques in Masiaka benefited from this charitable act.
Underlining the significance of inclusivity, non-executive members of the APC were also considered in the distribution, emphasising the broader impact on the community. The two constituencies received ten million Old Leones each, while the five wards received five million Old Leones each. Chiefs were not overlooked and were included in this grand package.
Musa Idris Kanu shared insights into Dr. Suphian Kalokoh’s philanthropic spirit, highlighting his continuous support to Koya Chiefdom even before this notable contribution. With the blessed month of Ramadan on the horizon, Dr. Suphian Kalokoh’s benevolent efforts are even more timely.
The amount of joy and gratitude expressed by the beneficiaries was immeasurable. “With deep gratitude, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Suphian Kalokoh for his immense generosity.
